Changing Your Lot’s Exterior

Changing the external appearance of a Lot requires Body Corporate Committee approval under By Laws 3, 6 and/or 8.

Body Corporate Committee will consider:

  • Nature of the alteration
  • Whether the alteration matches TRG’s external aesthetics
  • Whether there is any negative impact on the Lot’s neighbours.

Committee may seek external expert advice before making a decision. 

What constitutes changing a Lot’s Exterior?

These are some of the changes that are considered as changing the lot’s external appearance.

This list is indicative only and not intended to define all items that may be considered as external changes.

  • Installing plantation shutters
  • Installing security screens to doors and/or windows
  • Hanging decorative lights from balcony balustrades
  • Hanging plant pots from balcony balustrades
  • Hanging washing over balustrades
  • Installing airconditioner units so they can be seen from outside the lot.
  • Changing colour of curtaining.

By Laws 3, 6 and 8 apply to changing a lot’s exterior.
